Summary

Hello! My name is Carolyn. I grew up with Deaf friends and have known since age 13 that I wanted to be an interpreter. That dream became a reality, and I've worked as an interpreter for the last 11 years! I have an RID NIC certification, a Texas BEI Master certification, a bachelor's and a master's degree in Deaf Education, and a certification to teach Deaf Education in Texas.
I am passionate about 1) empowering Deaf students to become skilled writers, 2) mentoring aspiring interpreters, and 3) teaching parents of deaf children to learn to sign.
If you'd like to schedule a tutoring session that is outside my posted availability, please go ahead and send me a message! I'm sometimes available at additional times.
